Through the photo collection and digital short film, Re-encounter (2023) traces one of London's greatest myths—the Hardy tree and people's companionship throughout their lives—from historical and social perspectives, creating a poetic narrative space. By examining the tree's story from birth, growth, death, and re-encounter (meeting people again with new life), accompanying humans and witnessing city development, this project attempts to reawaken viewers' emotional connection with trees (nature). It aims to invite the audience to reflect on the following: In the context of current ecological destruction, how can we rediscover our original spiritual connection with trees (nature) and reawaken the stirring feeling of the initial encounter?
